Few things came up and the meeting tonight but main point if night was a proposal by the Clachan.
They want to bring a rule in ASAP that you can only play super league pool from 2014 if you play I ms, I personally think this is a great idea but I am only one guy.
What do you all think ?????
All captains have got details to take back to players and there is a meeting next wed night in pennies to take this forward with all the views brought to meeting

Why have rules if no fecker reads them?
The EXISTING rule brought into the constitution last year actually covers this already - IF IT WAS ENFORCED (I don't think it has been up to now)
Rule 70. Players that pay for IM entry will be given priority for superleague teams over other players. i.e. they will be asked first to go.
This currently covers it stone dead without ANY need for further vote.
The only thing the above rule does - is that if there aren't enough IM members who want to go to Superleague - THEN players who don't play IMs CAN be asked to go (With your proposed new ruling - that wouldn't be allowed).
No need for a vote in my opinion due to the above.
How many captains would you actually expect to get to turn up to a (non enforced) meeting next week anyway?

The reason thatbthe meeting was not enforced Darren is that there are many teams i.e the Star etc that this rule will never have any interest to them, we did not know about a similar rule already being in place. I will speak to other members of the committee regards this and also see why the captains have not been enforcing it

Truth is - if the captains can bring in a "better" player e.g. Geoff, who isn't playing IMs - they are going to want to play him in front of "lesser" players who are playing IMs - cos they feel they will have a better chance of winning with the likes of Geoff in the team...
Suspect you will get the "We didny know aboot any such rule" pash however....

As stated earlier, rule 70 is already in the constitution.
As per rule 15 in the constitution, any proposal that would result in a change to constitution must be submitted to the committee 21 days before an EGM. As this was proposed last night, any EGM should not be before Wednesday 30th October rendering next weeks meeting irrelevant.
Rules and all that ....... or is this another exceptional circumstance ?
